Do we ever know that when our first prophet Adam a.s. had been sent out from Jannah tricked by syaitan laknatullah, he (Adam) cried for nearly 300 years. He never raised his head to the sky since then for that he felt so embarrassed to Allah with sin he committed. He kneeled, prostrating to his god in 100 years time at mountain, craving for Allah’s forgiveness until came two birds, drank his tears and said, “This water tasted so sweet.” Heard to those bird’s conversation, he felt like been mocked by the two as he disobeyed the regulation said by Allah for ate a khuldi, forbidden fruit in His Heaven. The feel of being ridiculed made him cried harder, until god sent down a wahyu said, “o Adam, God has not create any sweetest water before this that sweeter than your tears of repentance.”
That was the true sincerity depicted by Adam a.s. As he did only single mistake by acted upon the syaitan’s say, he really expressed his regret by cried for 300 years and also mourned thus kneeled down at mountain for an additional 100 years time. Just for a mistake he did. So what about us? How many mistakes or sins we’ve done?
Cuba kita fikirkan dan hitung kembali berapa banyak dosa yang telah kita lakukan sehingga hari ini.
If not till today, just calculate the sins we’ve made for this day only, from the time we woke up till now, before we sleep back to face the other day. How many had we committed compare to the mistake done by Adam a.s? Are they more than 10 times? Or maybe 1000 times? Traducing, talking nonsense, uncovering our aurat, staring at others’ aurat, etc. Those were example of sins we did with or without our awareness during daily lives. So, are we suppose to feel shame towards Him due to sort of sins we did? Adam had express his full of disappointment for what he did, how about us? If we compared to Adam, does it means that we have to cry and kneeled down to Allah yearning for His mercy in 10 or 1000 times longer just to cover up sins over one day we live? Are we affording to do it, aren’t we?
Mampukah kita?
As He never forget to give us nikmat, ease life, blessings at each milliseconds but we, easily forget to thank Him for the nikmat He supplied to us. We still have money today, affording to buy food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We still manage to walk, talking, smiling, and making jokes with friends. Alhamdulillah, these are all kind of nikmat He gives to us in this world. Thus, do thank Him always by praise Him, obey his rules and forbid the wrong He stated. InshaAllah, we will be given nikmat in akhirat too.
Surah at-Taubah, verse 111-112,
Allah hath(has) bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the Garden(heaven) will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah(taurat) and the Gospel (injil) and the Quran... Triumphant are those who turn repentant to Allah, those who serve Him, those who praise Him, those who fast, these who bow down, those who fall prostrate in worship, those who enjoin the right and who forbid the wrong and those who keep the limits ordained of Allah And give glad tidings to believers! It is not for the Prophet, and those who believe, to pray for the forgiveness of idolaters even though they may be near of kin to them after it hath(has) become clear that they are people of hell fire.
May Allah reward(s) you for the good.
